Description
Naming Rights to New Construction Near Michigan Stadium Residential over retail - only 280 yards from the gates of the Big House   Have you dreamed of attaching your business name to the biggest house in college football?  Well, dream on. It won't happen. Michigan Stadium isn't for sale, but there is a naming opportunity quite nearby. Imagine putting your name on a new development just steps from the stadium. Not only do you get the recognition of being the same neighborhood, but your name is visible to any of the 100,000 people inside the Big House. Maybe you want to honor a loved one by memorializing them in grand fashion. Perhaps you want to make a philanthropic gift...and don't mind a little recognition for your magnanimous gesture. You might be a manufacturing or technology giant with a desire to take advantage of an advertising opportunity. Or maybe you're a growing business looking for a way to leap to a new level of name recognition For the sake of disclosure, it should be noted that the Michigan Athletic Photo-Strobe Fund (MAPSFund) is a non-profit organization with no affiliation with the University of Michigan (apart from the fact that both are based in Ann Arbor). The MAPSFund does not own the building described here or expressly represent the project development group (despite the fact that a member of the development group has a connection with the MAPSFund). Our non-profit organization has been given a long-shot opportunity to take advantage of a some office/retail space that will be available in the building when it is completed. During consideration of MAPSFund use of  rental space in the finished building, the organization was presented with an offer. If the MAPSFund can deliver a naming sponsor to the development group within 30 days, that space will be provided free of charge for the duration of the arranged sponsorship. It's a long shot, but certainly worth our effort. It could be worth yours, as well. Would you like to put your own name on the place (The John and Jane Doe Building)? Want to honor a friend or loved one (Richard Roe Hall)? Are you a tech company looking for some additional face time on TV on fall Saturdays (Yahooglesoft Heights)? Maybe your company is Ann Arbor-based or has a major presence nearby and you'd like to rent some residential space for your visiting executives and researchers (Toyundai Residence)? Or maybe you're thinking about a retail space with access to game day sports fans (The Nikidas Locker Room) and want your name as big and as high off the ground as city codes allow? Are you looking for a way to leave a legacy? Have you recently won the lottery? Has your accountant told you that that a significant tax-deductible donation would drop you into a lower tax bracket? Is your corporate foundation looking for a new beneficiary? Whatever your goal, consider this your big chance. Naming rights of this sort are no small matter. Think of a 10, 20, or 50-year naming arrangement and the benefits that come with it. No mere billboard, the value of this advertising opportunity is compounded tremendously by the location and stature of the building upon which your name will reside. Ask any questions you might have by clicking here (or on the "Email the seller" link at the top of the ad listing). Information will be provided via the MAPSFund or through the development group. Details regarding the development and the building itself will only be discussed with parties genuinely interested in a naming sponsorship. Parties simply curious can keep their eyes open during the upcoming football season. Benefits: When network TV cameras on the Michigan Stadium photo deck turn for a shot of Ann Arbor and the UM campus, this new building will be first in the foreground. Your televised name or logo will get plenty of face time in front of millions of sports fans watching the game. The building is one of the closest to the stadium that will be seen from the air...say, from a blimp on football Saturdays. You could negotiate putting your name on the roof. Draw a line from the steps of the Michigan Union to the north scoreboard at the Big House and you'll hit the building along the way. It's in the path of nearly every football fan that walks to the stadium from the UM campus. The UM Marching Band will lead fans in and out of the stadium--and past the building--before and after each home football game. Located just a few hundred yards from Crisler and Yost Arenas, the building will be seen by basketball and hockey fans, too. The building is just a quarter mile from downtown Ann Arbor. Any result of the recently announced Fingerle Lumber real estate listing should benefit you. If a sale occurs and a city greenways project utilizes the space, or a new pedestrian/retail/residential development arrives, this building will be one of it's closest neighbors, just one block away. A contribution of sufficient size may be treated as a tax-deductible contribution. You could recoup your expense and benefit from it at the same time. These are just a few of the perks. There are many other direct and indirect benefits. Get in touch and discussion will bear them out.  Serious offers will start at $500,000. As the naming rights sponsorship level grows, so does the likelihood that the cost may be treated as a tax-deductible business expense rather than a straight purchase. That will depend on your negotiations with the development group and the advice of a flock of lawyers and accountants that will undoubtedly be required to close a deal. The MAPSFund would prefer to see a longer-term deal come together since we'd come away with an organizational home. Grab your checkbook and make a seven-digit offer and you could add your profile to the Ann Arbor skyline. The 30-day window closes firmly at the end of July. The owner, developer, and financiers are already moving ahead. The only way to get involved is to ink a contract before the end of the month. (By the way, if you know anyone that fits the description above--any of them, in fact--and can facilitate an introduction that leads to a successful naming sponsorship, a finder's fee may be negotiated.) Good luck!     This listing is hosted & posted by the MAPSFund, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. MAPSFund auctions that include a deductible value will prominently display the eBay/Mission Fish Giving Works ribbon and specifically note the value to the charity. The listing above is considered an advertising opportunity and thus fulfills the eBay requirement for a 30-day ad placement.  Instead of open bidding, interested parties are encouraged to contact the seller (MAPSFund) to place offers or ask questions.
