CLASSIC NATIVITY STONE CROSS   Brand New. COMES WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. BEWARE OF IMITATIONS, THEY DO NOT HAVE CERT. (COA) The cross is 22K Gold Finish and it comes with a matching 22" chain and a black satin rope cord.  The cross is about 1 7/8 inches high, 1 3/8 wide and 1/8 inch thick, however the center is 3/8 inch thick.  (Stone is sealed in a raised glass cover).    This cross is perhaps the most spiritually connected symbol of Jesus Christ in the the history of the world.  This Classic Nativity design embodies the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit at each tip of the Cross as three concentric circles are joined to form this classic shape.  In the center is the 14 pointed Nativity Star, the symbol of Jesus that designates His exact birth spot in Bethlehem.    The Stone is From the Church of Nativity, the Birth Place of Jesus, In Bethlehem. Inside the Church of Nativity, there is a Fourteen Pointed Star with a hole in it.  As you look down through the hole you will be viewing the site Christ was born which is underneath the Church.    This Stone came from the area beneath this Star. The Nativity Stones Foundation has aligned themselves with the Vatican Treasury and Jubliee 2000.  The Jubilee is the Vatican's celebration of the 2000 year from Jesus Christ' birth and Nativity has been selected as one of only sixteen products to be accepted as an "Official" Jubilee 2000 product. This could be the Ultimate Gift to your friends, to your family, or to yourself. "What makes Nativity Stones so incredible is that they are from inside the cave and; within feet of the star marking the actual site of Christ's birth.   Nativity Stones are stones from the Cave of the Nativity, the site Christians have officially recognized and celebrated as the birthplace of Christ since 326 A.D. At that time, Empress Helena and her son, Emperor Constantine, erected a Basilica above the cave that local Christians had celebrated as Christ's birthplace since the time of His death. This Basilica is the oldest active Christian church in the world. "The Birth of Jesus has special significance. What a better way to celebrate than with a Nativity Stone from His birth?" These stones were brought to the United States in 1964 through the efforts of Stanley Slokin, a philanthropist and archaeologist. While visiting the Cave of the Nativity during its only excavation, Slotkin expressed an interest in the stones that were being removed. Mayor Elias Bandak of Bethlehem, Slotkin's host, had no plans for the stones and offered them to him. Mayor Bandak oversaw the shipment of the stones to the    Ricardo Montalban hosted an infomercial for 5 year regarding the Nativity Stones:   Ricardo Montalban received the knighthood of Commander of the Papal Order of St. Gregory from Pope John Paul II. A memory of a lifetime. But Montalban prefers not to tell that story because there are better, more significant stories to tell. So when asked directly about the Nativity Stones he discusses his feelings with passion. "It has been a unifying experience. So many Christians who express their faith so differently find they all (we all) share a common belief, a common truth, we all love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I see people from all walks of life whose love has been strengthened, whose faith has become extraordinary because of the Stones. I see them and hear from them: how they pray more easily and more often. Their prayers are filled with a new and deeper honesty." "It is astonishing and a revolution. A new spirituality, and I feel deeply moved to have been able to help them find spiritual fulfillment.""I have found and experienced this new spirituality as well. A few years ago, I had spinal surgery to try and alleviate some pain I have lived with from a debilitating back condition. One night I was lying in the hospital bed with incredible pain. Searching for comfort, I held a Nativity Cross in my hand and, focusing on the Stone in the center, The Stone that had witnessed the birth of Christ, I began to pray. ‘Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name…’ I’ve prayed this all my life, sometimes automatically, without much thought.""But when I got to ‘Thy will be done’, I stopped. At that moment I saw my whole faith called into question. Is this your will, God? This much pain? Do I accept your will, Lord? Holding the Nativity Cross-with its symbolic meaning of not just the death and resurrection of my Savior, but also his precious birth and life, represented by the Stone in the center, I said Yes. Thy will be done. I accept your will; Lord and I love you more than ever. And at that moment I was comforted in the knowledge that this was God’s will, and my pain became more bearable. And I have faith that in the future, He will lighten the weight of my cross."      No More Stones from the Cave of Nativity     Jeffrey LowdenNativity FoundationThe Nativity Stones are limited and once all are distributed there will be no more available. In 1963 there was a one time renovation in the Cave of the Nativity in Bethlehem and once these stones were shipped to Los Angeles to Philanthropist, Stanley Slotkin, no more stones will ever be unearthed making stones from this Holy Site a once in a lifetime gift. We have been assured by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem who is in charge of the maintenance of the Church of the Nativity and the Cave of the Nativity.     This is a wonderful Keepsake to be passed from generation to generation.  If you are not satisfied with this cross you may return it free of charge within 7days.   I Created by eBay Blackthorne ver. 3.2.146.0
