Kimberlite Diamond Matrix Carved Crystal Skull   The Symbol of The Higher Mind, The Stone of The Inner Earth!     Here is a hand carved Kimberlite skull, direct  from my own private collection!  This stone comes from the Indian Guide District north of Laramie, Wyoming.  It pushed up through the Sherman Granite about 400 million years ago from approx. 50-70 miles deep in the Earth's crust.  This Kimberlite consists of Olivines and carbonized and serpentinized phenocrysts and xenocrysts of Olivine.  It actually looks a little like a carbonaceous chondrite meteorite  ...but it is definitely Kimberlite.  :-)    This may well be the closest we will come to a Diamond skull, as Diamonds form within Kimberlite! The skull is substantially sized, it measures 4-7/8 inches long and weighs in at precisely 2.93 lbs.  The polish is high-gloss,  the carving style is highly detailed with well-defined features including Raven's trademark hollowed-out jaw and cheekbones.  The nasal passages have been drilled through from the nose area to the underside.  Even the bottom of this skull has been hollowed out and detailed to represent the real thing!  Please note that this fine skull possesses a noticeable fracture line on the right side cheekbone.  I have provided a close up view of this area in the photos below.  The integrity of the skull remains uncompromised by this semi-discreet blemish, however I have discounted Raven's price for this eBay listing.  :-) Metaphysically, the Symbol of the Skull represents The Higher Mind.  To attain the higher mind of spiritual awareness and psychic ability we must be released from the thrall of the lower cognitive mind.  The Skull also symbolizes Change, which is truly the great healer of all situations, conditions,  and troubles.  Without Change in our lives, we do not spiritually grow.   In many cultures around the world, the Skull is seen as the House of the Soul and revered because of its tremendous importance to us as human beings.
