Description
***Melody Stone Mountain*** ~~ Giant Elestial Castle ~~ ((( Super 7 Quartz Crystal ))) * With All Seven Minerals * Amethyst, Smoky & Clear Quartz Crystal Rutile - Goethite - Cacoxenite - Lepidocrocite *Baixo Guandu - Espirito Santo*   "Brazil " 4-1/4" inches tall x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" wide 1.47 Lbs - 667 Grams - 3335 Carats This big handful is the last giant size crystal I have from what I call the super 7 castle pocket from the mine in Espirito Santo which is now under water.  This was one of the last pockets found and there were maybe a few dozen or so of these ever mined and I've only seen a few of them listed for sale anywhere else.  This crystals features stepped and layered terminations that resemble castle turrets and the surfaces are peppered with black goethite and has patches of golden cacoxenite in massive form on the outside.  This big castle also has hemoglobin like platelets of red lepidocrocite and even a few sticks of rutile attached to the exterior surfaces so the 4 related minerals should be easy to spot in the photos.  The coloration ranges from black morion smoky quartz to bright purple amethyst zones with clear and white colorless crystal around the backside and all the super 7 minerals are inside the crystal as well.  This may be one of the last huge super 7 castles for sale anywhere so if you're in the market for one don't miss the chance.  Small cut and polished super 7 jewelry grade stones typically sell for up to $5.00 a carat on internet web sites.  This Melody Stone Castle does have a good deal of milky white area but it's huge and priced less than .30 cents per carat in this uncut and totally natural form. Most of the uncut Melody stones currently on the market come from the Medina Mine across the border in Minas Gerias State Brazil which is still in production.  Those are nice stones and many have all the super 7 aspects but tend to be not as deeply vibrant, deliciously dark or as richly colored, they're a little dull and washed out looking in comparison.  The Super Seven Crystal The super 7 crystal is a combination of amethyst, smoky and clear quartz containing inclusions of lepidocrocite, goethite, rutile and cacoxenite which is known for producing a flambeau or lighted torch effect similar to "St. Elmos Fire" which produces visible electromagnetic waves above the mast of sailing ships, steeples, towers and treetops and has been compared on a small scale to the aurora borealis effect of the northern lights.  In addition to the flambeau effect the stone has a long list of metaphysical aspects, it's also known to be self cleansing and a highly magical stone for the new age which was popularized by the author of "Love Is In The Earth" who goes by "Melody".         Super Seven Minerals     Goethite and Lepidocrocite are almost the same mineral as they are both oxides of Fe containing hydroxyl.  The two minerals are dimorphous, meaning they are quite often found mixed together as one composite mineral.   The bright red wavy fibers found in many super seven crystals appears to be a dimorphous combination of the two, however they do also occur individually in the stones.  Lepidocrocite quite often appears as red pepper spotting or large red dots.  Cacoxenite and goethite take many different forms and are at times difficult to distinguish from each other, but goethite is usually black.  They can both produce golden or black acicular sprays, roundish balls or visually undefined masses in a varied color range, however cacoxenite is most familiar in golden V shaped or oval sprays with somewhat reddish to black undertone, or at times bumpy to smooth roundish nodules or golden colored abstract masses.  Rutile comes in many colors and varies in quartz crystal from straight stick like inclusions to stringy fibers or grass like clumps to starbursts of shooting sprays or ultra fine hair like strands.  In super seven stones it usually occurs as light to dark colored fine spun threads and quite often has spots of red lepidocrocite or clumps of black goethite clinging to the surface.     Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
